Dr. Barney Graham's contribution to fighting COVID-19 began when working on his family's farm in Paola, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine and now works at the Vaccine Research Center at the National Institutes of Health where he was instrumental in developing the successful Covid-19 vaccinations. Expecting a 70% effectiveness and hoping for an 80% effectiveness, he was very pleased and even emotional when the trials proved the vaccine to be 95% effective. Dr. Graham learned problem solving skills on the farm, and says those skills serve him well, to this day. Dr. Graham, we're proud to call you a neighbor and a home town hero, thank you!
