About the company

In May 2002, my Grandmother fell and fractured her neck in three places. She was very fortunate to have survived the accident. However, she would have a long road to recovery and my Grandpa could not be left alone at home. Decisions were made that were very expensive and involved each staying at different facilities.

Minnie and Carl

I offered my assistance and ultimately placed them together in a nice facility, saving them over $3,100 per month. It occurred to me that I could offer the same service for others in our community who may be struggling with a similar situation of making a nursing facility placement decision. After performing market research, it was obvious that there is a demand for professional senior care placement services in the Kansas City area.

The company was started so that we can offer you the same service that I provided for my Grandparents. Based on personal experience and years of industry knowledge, we will help you make informed decisions regarding a nursing facility placement. We will also give you access to our network of related professional services such as legal, real estate, financial and other services. The information that we provide is totally objective. We are not affiliated with nor are we reimbursed by any nursing facilities.

Steve Kuker, Founder

Steve has 17 years of experience in operations, sales and marketing primarily in the healthcare arena. Early in his career he was the General Manager of a medical equipment company and successfully launched a comprehensive joint venture home care company from a start-up position. Later he was asked to perform consulting services and ultimately directed the turn-around of a failing healthcare company in Nashville. Soon after that, Steve joined Columbia HCA as their Group Director of Business Development, Homecare division. Accepting this challenge, he led business development efforts with 50 direct report staff covering 125 locations throughout 6 states. His strategic marketing plan drove a $200 million budget.

Returning home to Kansas City, Steve applied his skills to the long-term care industry and accepted a Regional Marketing Director's position with a long term care company covering three states working with several skilled nursing and assisted living facilities as well as Alzheimer's ALF start-ups. Then, he was asked to become the CEO of a software development company. Here he raised over $600,000 in investment capital, led the company to two new product releases, secured three registered trademarks, and developed a comprehensive business plan, strategic marketing plan, budgets and P&L projections. Recently he was the Vice President of Marketing for a long-term care management company operating 70 facilities in 10 states.

Realizing the demand for professional nursing facility placement services in the Kansas City area, Mr. Kuker decided to open his own consulting firm.
